The Porta-Gantry RAPIDE is a unique lightweight rapid deployment crane system with dual rating capability for Goods and Personnel lifting (Man-Ride), making this crane a versatile portable lifting solution.

Crane is fitted with load bearing lockable castor wheels for easy positioning with frame able to fold onto beam forming compact, storable unit. Lightweight means crane can be safely carried by 2 persons using carry handles or moved by single person using integrated wheels and handle.

The Personnel Winch is your primary winch, designed for routine raising or lowering of 1 person or materials weighing up to 150kg. In the event of a fall the Fall Arrest Device with Recovery acts as your secondary back up. Personnel winch incorporate an Anti-run braking mechanism, so if winding arm is realised during lifting the mechanism automatically locks, holding the person steady until the handle is rotated again by the operator. Gear ratio 1:8.9 for easy personnel lifting, 50mm retrieval per rotation and 20m of galvanised steel cable with auto-lock karabiner.

Fall Arrest Device with Recovery has 18m of fibre rope (Dyneema) with swivel load indicator hook. In the event of a fall, the rewind/rescue mechanism can be engaged to raise or lower a fallen worker. Load is held by an internal brake preventing it falling further should the operative release the handle. Not intended to be used as a continuous winch, only as a recovery winch.
